TL;DR
- Be a decent person — no harassment, spam, or impersonation.
- You own what you post; we only show it to the audience you choose.
- We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
- You can request permanent account deletion from Settings → Data.
1. Agreement
By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't sign up — simple as that.
2. Who can use Nous
You need to be at least 13 years old. One account per person — accounts are for individuals, not shared logins or bots.
3. Your account
You're responsible for whatever happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself. Your username and home city are locked once you set them (home city can be worked around temporarily with travel mode) — everything else in your profile is yours to change anytime from Settings.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or deliberately target another user.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
- Post spam, scams, or unsolicited advertising.
- Post illegal content, or content that violates someone else's rights.
- Attempt to access another account, interfere with the service, or circumvent any moderation, rate limit, or access control.
Report anything that breaks these rules — every post and comment has a report option.
5. Your content
You own what you post. By posting it, you give Nous a license to store and display it to whatever audience you chose for that post — that's it, just what's needed to run the feature you used. We don't license your content to anyone else, and we don't use it to train anything.
6. Moderation
Reported content is reviewed by admins or moderators. We can remove content, restrict, or suspend an account that violates these terms. Serious or repeated violations can result in a permanent ban.
7. Ending your account
You can request permanent account deletion from Settings → Data. Nous staff will verify your identity in the support thread before completing the irreversible deletion (see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that removes). We can also suspend or terminate an account that seriously or repeatedly violates these terms.
8. No warranty
Nous is provided as-is. We work to keep it running well, but we don't guarantee it'll be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced inside the app.
